STANDING ORDER

To

All Municipal Commissioners,

Subject: The collection of solid waste by contractors for solid waste collection under the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966 (Maharashtra Act 37 of 1966), the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the collection of solid waste by contractors for solid waste collection.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for solid waste collection carrying on the collection of solid waste shall make an application in Form D to the Town Vending Committee within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Municipal Commissioner shall ensure that assessment list is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Town Vending Committee within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra.
