STANDING ORDER
To
All Panchayat Inspectors,
Subject: The running of a village bus stand by licensees of a village bus stand under the Karnataka Gram Swaraj and Panchayat Raj Act, 1993, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Gram Swaraj and Panchayat Raj Act, 1993 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1993), the Energy Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a village bus stand by licensees of a village bus stand.
2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a village bus stand carrying on the running of a village bus stand shall make an application in Form 4 to the District Panchayat within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.
3. The Panchayat Inspector shall ensure that market is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Panchayat within twenty-one days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Karnataka.
