OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The provision of services to aggrieved persons by service providers under the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on the manner in which the provision of services to aggrieved persons by service providers is to be regulated under the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988.

2. The matter has been examined. Every service provider carrying on the provision of services to aggrieved persons shall make an application in Form I to the District Magistrate within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the provision of services to aggrieved persons is undertaken, and the District Magistrate shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
