STANDING ORDER

To

All Fertiliser Inspectors,

Subject: The production of certified seed by seed producers under the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969 (Kerala Act 21 of 1969), the Agriculture Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the production of certified seed by seed producers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every seed producer carrying on the production of certified seed shall make an application in Form B to the Director of Agriculture within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Fertiliser Inspector shall ensure that market fee receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Agriculture within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of Kerala.
