STANDING ORDER
To
All Deputies Commissioner of Excise,
Subject: The tapping of toddy by toddy tappers under the Punjab Excise Act, 1914, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914 (Punjab Act 1 of 1914), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the tapping of toddy by toddy tappers.
2. The matter has been examined. Every toddy tapper carrying on the tapping of toddy shall make an application in Form H to the Collector within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.
3. The Deputy Commissioner of Excise shall ensure that permit is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within thirty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Punjab.
