OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Dealing in second-hand goods by dealers in second-hand goods under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act, 1999, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Home Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which dealing in second-hand goods by dealers in second-hand goods is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act, 1999.

2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer in second-hand goods carrying on dealing in second-hand goods shall make an application in Form II to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which dealing in second-hand goods is undertaken, and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Maharashtra.
