OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The keeping of a lodging house by owners of a lodging house under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh on the manner in which the keeping of a lodging house by owners of a lodging house is to be regulated under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a lodging house carrying on the keeping of a lodging house shall make an application in Form C to the Standing Committee within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a lodging house is undertaken, and the Standing Committee shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
