STANDING ORDER
To
All Tourist Officers,
Subject: The running of a home stay by operators of a home stay under the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005 (Kerala Act 8 of 2005), the Home Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a home stay by operators of a home stay.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a home stay carrying on the running of a home stay shall make an application in Form III to the Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. The Tourist Officer shall ensure that conservation plan is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Authority within seven days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Kerala.
