STANDING ORDER

All Assessors,

Subject: The slaughter of animals by keepers of a slaughter house under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973 (Uttar Pradesh Act 11 of 1973), the Transport Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the slaughter of animals by keepers of a slaughter house.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of a slaughter house carrying on the slaughter of animals shall make an application in Form G to the Municipal Council within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Assessor shall ensure that building plan is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Municipal Council within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
