OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The management of a co-operative housing society by co-operative housing societies under the Tamil Nadu Regulation of Rights and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants Act, 2017, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Housing Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the management of a co-operative housing society by co-operative housing societies is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Regulation of Rights and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants Act, 2017.

2. The matter has been examined. Every co-operative housing society carrying on the management of a co-operative housing society shall make an application in Form E to the Rent Controller within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the management of a co-operative housing society is undertaken, and the Rent Controller shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
