STANDING ORDER
To
All Assistant Directors,
Subject: The sponsoring of a competition by sponsors of a competition under the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976 (Goa Act 14 of 1976), the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sponsoring of a competition by sponsors of a competition.
2. The matter has been examined. Every sponsor of a competition carrying on the sponsoring of a competition shall make an application in Form D to the State Sports Council within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.
3. The Assistant Director shall ensure that calendar of events is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Sports Council within ninety days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Goa.
