OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The execution of contracts by contractors under the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Law Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the execution of contracts by contractors is to be regulated under the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor carrying on the execution of contracts shall make an application in Form GFR 40 to the Procurement Authority within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the execution of contracts is undertaken, and the Procurement Authority shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Gujarat.
