STANDING ORDER

All Deputy Press Registrars,

Subject: The production of films by producers of films under the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 23 of 1964), the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the production of films by producers of films.

2. The matter has been examined. Every producer of films carrying on the production of films shall make an application in Form III to the Government of Karnataka within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Press Registrar shall ensure that certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Karnataka within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Karnataka.
