STANDING ORDER

To

All Excise Officers,

Subject: The keeping of a bonded warehouse by bonded warehouse keepers under the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910 (Uttar Pradesh Act 4 of 1910), the Revenue Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the keeping of a bonded warehouse by bonded warehouse keepers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every bonded warehouse keeper carrying on the keeping of a bonded warehouse shall make an application in Form C to the Commissioner within seven days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Excise Officer shall ensure that still is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Commissioner within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
