STANDING ORDER

To

All Warehouse Inspectors,

Subject: The business of multimodal transport by multimodal transport operators under the Karnataka Money Lenders Act, 1961, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Money Lenders Act, 1961 (Karnataka Act 12 of 1961), the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the business of multimodal transport by multimodal transport operators.

2. The matter has been examined. Every multimodal transport operator carrying on the business of multimodal transport shall make an application in Form A to the Director of Industries within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Warehouse Inspector shall ensure that chit agreement is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Industries within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Karnataka.
