STANDING ORDER

To

All Tourist Officers,

Subject: The plying of a tourist vehicle by operators of a tourist vehicle under the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005 (Kerala Act 8 of 2005), the Transport Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the plying of a tourist vehicle by operators of a tourist vehicle.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a tourist vehicle carrying on the plying of a tourist vehicle shall make an application in Form VIII to the Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Tourist Officer shall ensure that art treasure is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Authority within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Kerala.
