STANDING ORDER

All Naib Tahsildars,

Subject: The survey of land by licensed surveyors under the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959 (Odisha Act 3 of 1959), the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the survey of land by licensed surveyors.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensed surveyor carrying on the survey of land shall make an application in Form 14 to the State Government within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Naib Tahsildar shall ensure that record of rights is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Government within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Odisha.
