STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Tahsildars,

Subject: The taking of a mortgage of agricultural land by mortgagees of agricultural land under the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960 (Odisha Act 16 of 1960), the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land by mortgagees of agricultural land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every mortgagee of agricultural land carrying on the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land shall make an application in Form 3 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Deputy Tahsildar shall ensure that survey number is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sub-Divisional Officer within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Odisha.
