STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistant Rent Controllers,

Subject: The management of property on behalf of an owner by property managers under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972 (Uttar Pradesh Act 13 of 1972), the Housing Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the management of property on behalf of an owner by property managers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every property manager carrying on the management of property on behalf of an owner shall make an application in Form A to the Appellate Tribunal within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Assistant Rent Controller shall ensure that possession letter is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Appellate Tribunal within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
