STANDING ORDER

To

All Excise Guards,

Subject: The working of a winery by licensees of a winery under the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910 (Uttar Pradesh Act 4 of 1910), the Excise Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the working of a winery by licensees of a winery.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a winery carrying on the working of a winery shall make an application in Form C to the Government of Uttar Pradesh within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Excise Guard shall ensure that excisable article is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Uttar Pradesh within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Excise Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
