OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The sale of lottery tickets by lottery agents under the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Transport Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the sale of lottery tickets by lottery agents is to be regulated under the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lottery agent carrying on the sale of lottery tickets shall make an application in Form GFR 12-C to the Government of Gujarat within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sale of lottery tickets is undertaken, and the Government of Gujarat shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Gujarat.
