OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The use of water by users of water under the Kerala Irrigation and Water Conservation Act, 2003, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which the use of water by users of water is to be regulated under the Kerala Irrigation and Water Conservation Act, 2003.

2. The matter has been examined. Every user of water carrying on the use of water shall make an application in Form E to the Dam Safety Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the use of water is undertaken, and the Dam Safety Authority shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Kerala.
