OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Fishing in a reservoir by licensees of a fishery in a reservoir under the Kerala Irrigation and Water Conservation Act, 2003, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which fishing in a reservoir by licensees of a fishery in a reservoir is to be regulated under the Kerala Irrigation and Water Conservation Act, 2003.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a fishery in a reservoir carrying on fishing in a reservoir shall make an application in Form A to the Irrigation Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which fishing in a reservoir is undertaken, and the Irrigation Authority shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Kerala.
