OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The running of a private hostel by operators of a hostel for tenants under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the General Administration Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh on the manner in which the running of a private hostel by operators of a hostel for tenants is to be regulated under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a hostel for tenants carrying on the running of a private hostel shall make an application in Form A to the Competent Authority within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a private hostel is undertaken, and the Competent Authority shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
