STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistant Press Registrars,

Subject: The publication of a periodical by publishers under the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984 (Tamil Nadu Act 7 of 1984), the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the publication of a periodical by publishers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every publisher carrying on the publication of a periodical shall make an application in Form I to the Advisory Panel within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Assistant Press Registrar shall ensure that set-top box is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Advisory Panel within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
