STANDING ORDER

To

All Building Inspectors,

Subject: The ownership of a building by owners of a building under the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1977, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1977 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1977), the Urban Development Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the ownership of a building by owners of a building.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a building carrying on the ownership of a building shall make an application in Form H to the Town Vending Committee within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. The Building Inspector shall ensure that drain is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Town Vending Committee within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of Karnataka.
