OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The fire safety of a place of public assembly by owners of a place of public assembly under the Kerala Fire Force Act, 1962, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which the fire safety of a place of public assembly by owners of a place of public assembly is to be regulated under the Kerala Fire Force Act, 1962.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a place of public assembly carrying on the fire safety of a place of public assembly shall make an application in Form F to the Civil Defence Controller within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the fire safety of a place of public assembly is undertaken, and the Civil Defence Controller shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Kerala.
