STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistants Registrar of Co-operative Societies,

Subject: The raising of plants in a nursery by nursery growers under the Karnataka Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation and Development) Act, 1966, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation and Development) Act, 1966 (Karnataka Act 27 of 1966), the Labour Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the raising of plants in a nursery by nursery growers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every nursery grower carrying on the raising of plants in a nursery shall make an application in Form D to the Government of Karnataka within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies shall ensure that produce is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Karnataka within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Karnataka.
