STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Tahsildars,

Subject: The survey of land by licensed surveyors under the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953 (Punjab Act 10 of 1953), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the survey of land by licensed surveyors.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensed surveyor carrying on the survey of land shall make an application in Form 1 to the Tahsildar within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Tahsildar shall ensure that patta is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Tahsildar within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Punjab.
