STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputies Commissioner of Excise,

Subject: The tapping of toddy by toddy tappers under the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910 (Uttar Pradesh Act 4 of 1910), the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the tapping of toddy by toddy tappers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every toddy tapper carrying on the tapping of toddy shall make an application in Form H to the Licensing Authority within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Commissioner of Excise shall ensure that consignment is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Licensing Authority within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
