OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The sub-letting of premises by sub-tenants under the Andhra Pradesh Buildings (Lease, Rent and Eviction) Control Act, 1960, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Agriculture Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on the manner in which the sub-letting of premises by sub-tenants is to be regulated under the Andhra Pradesh Buildings (Lease, Rent and Eviction) Control Act, 1960.

2. The matter has been examined. Every sub-tenant carrying on the sub-letting of premises shall make an application in Form D to the Competent Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sub-letting of premises is undertaken, and the Competent Authority shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
