OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The operation of a teleport by operators of a teleport under the Maharashtra Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1953, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Information Technology Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the operation of a teleport by operators of a teleport is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1953.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a teleport carrying on the operation of a teleport shall make an application in Form IV to the Broadcasting Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a teleport is undertaken, and the Broadcasting Authority shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Maharashtra.
