OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The writing of petitions for reward by petition writers under the Tamil Nadu Court Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1955, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Law Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the writing of petitions for reward by petition writers is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Court Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1955.
2. The matter has been examined. Every petition writer carrying on the writing of petitions for reward shall make an application in Form A to the Bar Council within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the writing of petitions for reward is undertaken, and the Bar Council shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
