OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The business of a producer company by producer companies under the Kerala Chitties Act, 1975, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Transport Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which the business of a producer company by producer companies is to be regulated under the Kerala Chitties Act, 1975.

2. The matter has been examined. Every producer company carrying on the business of a producer company shall make an application in Form MGT-7 to the Competition Commission within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the business of a producer company is undertaken, and the Competition Commission shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Kerala.
