OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The carriage of documents and parcels by courier service providers under the Bombay Money-Lenders Act, 1946, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Environment Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the carriage of documents and parcels by courier service providers is to be regulated under the Bombay Money-Lenders Act, 1946.
2. The matter has been examined. Every courier service provider carrying on the carriage of documents and parcels shall make an application in Form E to the Registrar of Warehouses within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the carriage of documents and parcels is undertaken, and the Registrar of Warehouses shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Maharashtra.
