STANDING ORDER
To
All Seed Inspectors,
Subject: The culture of fish by fish farmers under the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act, 1959, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act, 1959 (Karnataka Act 11 of 1959), the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the culture of fish by fish farmers.
2. The matter has been examined. Every fish farmer carrying on the culture of fish shall make an application in Form E to the Market Committee within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.
3. The Seed Inspector shall ensure that planting material is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Market Committee within fifteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Karnataka.
