OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The running of a residential facility by operators of a residential facility under the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats) Act, 1994, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Energy Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the running of a residential facility by operators of a residential facility is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats) Act, 1994.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a residential facility carrying on the running of a residential facility shall make an application in Form VIII to the Commission within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a residential facility is undertaken, and the Commission shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
