STANDING ORDER

To

All Adjudicating Officers,

Subject: The running of a private hostel by operators of a hostel for tenants under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972 (Uttar Pradesh Act 13 of 1972), the Water Resources Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a private hostel by operators of a hostel for tenants.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a hostel for tenants carrying on the running of a private hostel shall make an application in Form D to the Registrar of Co-operative Housing Societies within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Adjudicating Officer shall ensure that apartment is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar of Co-operative Housing Societies within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
