STANDING ORDER

To

All Nazirs,

Subject: The execution of process by bailiffs under the Uttar Pradesh Civil Laws (Reforms and Amendment) Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Civil Laws (Reforms and Amendment) Act, 1954 (Uttar Pradesh Act 24 of 1954), the Information Technology Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the execution of process by bailiffs.

2. The matter has been examined. Every bailiff carrying on the execution of process shall make an application in Form D to the Taxing Officer within seven days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. The Nazir shall ensure that exhibit is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Taxing Officer within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
