OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The support of athletes by athlete support personnels under the Bombay Prevention of Gambling Act, 1887, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the support of athletes by athlete support personnels is to be regulated under the Bombay Prevention of Gambling Act, 1887.

2. The matter has been examined. Every athlete support personnel carrying on the support of athletes shall make an application in Form C to the Sports Authority within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the support of athletes is undertaken, and the Sports Authority shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Maharashtra.
