OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The production of certified seed by seed producers under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue Department, Government of Punjab on the manner in which the production of certified seed by seed producers is to be regulated under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961.

2. The matter has been examined. Every seed producer carrying on the production of certified seed shall make an application in Form B to the Insecticides Board within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the production of certified seed is undertaken, and the Insecticides Board shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Punjab.
