STANDING ORDER

To

All Survey Commissioners,

Subject: The collection of donations for a charity by collectors of donations under the Uttar Pradesh Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Act, 1983, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Act, 1983 (Uttar Pradesh Act 29 of 1983), the Revenue Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the collection of donations for a charity by collectors of donations.

2. The matter has been examined. Every collector of donations carrying on the collection of donations for a charity shall make an application in Form B to the Commissioner of Endowments within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. The Survey Commissioner shall ensure that trust is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Commissioner of Endowments within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
