STANDING ORDER

To

All Station Fire Officers,

Subject: The operation of a critical facility by operators of a critical facility under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 20 of 2003), the Home Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a critical facility by operators of a critical facility.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a critical facility carrying on the operation of a critical facility shall make an application in Form G to the Civil Defence Controller within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Station Fire Officer shall ensure that stock is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Civil Defence Controller within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Gujarat.
