OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The temporary care of a child by a fit person by fit persons under the Goa Children's Act, 2003, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Labour Department, Government of Goa on the manner in which the temporary care of a child by a fit person by fit persons is to be regulated under the Goa Children's Act, 2003.

2. The matter has been examined. Every fit person carrying on the temporary care of a child by a fit person shall make an application in Form II to the District Magistrate within three days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the temporary care of a child by a fit person is undertaken, and the District Magistrate shall dispose of it within three days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Goa.
