OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The conduct of Government business by a bank by bank conducting Government businesses under the Maharashtra Fiscal Responsibility and Budgetary Management Act, 2005, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the conduct of Government business by a bank by bank conducting Government businesses is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Fiscal Responsibility and Budgetary Management Act, 2005.

2. The matter has been examined. Every bank conducting Government business carrying on the conduct of Government business by a bank shall make an application in Form GFR 12-A to the Finance Commission within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the conduct of Government business by a bank is undertaken, and the Finance Commission shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra.
