STANDING ORDER

To

All Excise Inspectors,

Subject: The working of a brewery by brewers under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915 (Madhya Pradesh Act 2 of 1915), the Transport Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the working of a brewery by brewers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every brewer carrying on the working of a brewery shall make an application in Form D to the Excise Appellate Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Excise Inspector shall ensure that sample is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Excise Appellate Authority within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
