OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The management of a co-operative housing society by co-operative housing societies under the Maharashtra Ownership Flats (Regulation of the Promotion of Construction, Sale, Management and Transfer) Act, 1963, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Energy Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the management of a co-operative housing society by co-operative housing societies is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Ownership Flats (Regulation of the Promotion of Construction, Sale, Management and Transfer) Act, 1963.

2. The matter has been examined. Every co-operative housing society carrying on the management of a co-operative housing society shall make an application in Form C to the Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the management of a co-operative housing society is undertaken, and the Authority shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Maharashtra.
