STANDING ORDER

All Naib Tahsildars,

Subject: The holding of an inam by inamdars under the Gujarat Agricultural Lands Ceiling Act, 1961, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Agricultural Lands Ceiling Act, 1961 (Gujarat Act 27 of 1961), the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of an inam by inamdars.

2. The matter has been examined. Every inamdar carrying on the holding of an inam shall make an application in Form 14 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. The Naib Tahsildar shall ensure that survey number is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sub-Divisional Officer within one hundred and eighty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Gujarat.
