OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The operation of a diesel generator set by owners of a diesel generator set under the Kerala Forest Act, 1961, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which the operation of a diesel generator set by owners of a diesel generator set is to be regulated under the Kerala Forest Act, 1961.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a diesel generator set carrying on the operation of a diesel generator set shall make an application in Form VIII to the Government of Kerala within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a diesel generator set is undertaken, and the Government of Kerala shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Kerala.
