Puducherry, dated the 16th November, 2011

OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The survey of land by licensed surveyors under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Information Technology Department, Government of Puducherry on the manner in which the survey of land by licensed surveyors is to be regulated under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensed surveyor carrying on the survey of land shall make an application in Form 14 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the survey of land is undertaken, and the Sub-Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Puducherry.
